All of the pottery that you see is designed and meticulously handmade by me in my small home studio in beautiful Northern Michigan.
This playful pottery reflects my personality. I enjoy using vibrant glazes in crazy color combinations, I carve into the clay and make my own stamps by hand. I am always on the lookout for found objects to make patterns and textures in my work.
I am fascinated by and draw much of my imagery and inspiration from historical theater architecture, gypsy caravans, turn of the century carnivals, amusement rides and circuses. I’m also influenced by fabrics and notions. I like to incorporate buttons, snaps, stitching, and appliques to my work.
